Worship is central

Worship is central to the life of Christ Church. Hebrews 10:24-25 says, “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

The greatest priority

The greatest priority of a Reformed church is to have worship which is pleasing to God, and so we make great efforts to keep God’s word central to worship through expository preaching as well as through ordering every worship service according to the explicit directions of Scripture.

Meeting with God

In general, our worship services lean in a traditional direction through the use of biblical liturgy, the best of Christian hymnody, and a focus on the word and sacraments as the means of grace for our spiritual growth. Additionally, the concern with biblical worship means we seek simplicity in worship rather than adding unnecessary distractions to the meeting of God with his covenant people in corporate worship.
